C.D Leganés’ manager Javier Aguirre attended the media this Friday in the pre-match press conference held at I.D Butarque before the 38th matchday of LaLiga that will be played this Sunday (21:00h) against Real Madrid at Butarque. The manager is satisfied for getting to play the last matchday with chances of survival and believes in the team.
“We will try to do what we can. We will try to win the match which is the only thing we can do and wait for the other result to help us. If you do not make your job, anyone will do it for you. Unfortunately, we do not depend on ourselves, we must have done something wrong. I will always believe in football and its essence”.
The mexican gives importance to the fact of having chances on the last matchday: “It has been a special season. We never imagined to be at home without competition on the middle of the league, we have never seen too many matches… it has been the sum of difficulties because of the pandemic and the club’s circumstances that make it special. We are still alive, and it is what matters”.
Finally, he talked about Real Madrid, the next rival of the pepineros: “Madrid is competitive and winner, the have some motivations such as the winning record, the top scorer and they will not be soft with us. I am waiting for the best Madrid. It is a complete team and all the players will perform well”.
