C.D. Leganés and Luis Cembranos have reached an agreement for the formar player to coach the cucumber second team next season.
Luis Cembranos Martínez was born in Luzern, Switzerland, on June 6th, 1972. As a player he began his career in the F.C. Barcelona academy, making the jump to the first team with Johan Cruyff on the Barça bench. Later he played in the R.C.D. Espanyol and in the Rayo Vallecano, before retiring in 2004 after one last season in the now extinct Ponferrada Promises. In the year 2000 he was international with the Spanish National Team.
His debut as a coach was in León, taking the reins of Hurricane Z, Third Division team. Subsequently, in 2011, he took over the Cultural Leonesa, team he ascended to Second Division B.
The last two seasons, Luis Cembranos has been coaching Rayo Vallecano B. In 2017/2018 he managed to classify the academy of Vallecas for the play-offs of promotion to 2ª B and in 2018/2019 he finished the season in seventh position.
