C.D Leganés will count again with the 28-year old forward Sabin Merino. The footballer from País Vasco has already played for a year and half with the club. He left the team on January to play the second leg of the season with Deportivo.
He was part of Athletic Club’s Academy and managed to get promoted along with Bilbao Athletic to Second Division in the 2014/15 season. He also played for three seasons with the rojiblancos where he was part of the team on 75 occasions. He scored eight goals and reached the Spanish Supercup in 2015.
He signed for Leganés in 2018 and remained with the team for a season and a half. He played eighteen matches with the white and blues. Sabin joined R.C Deportivo de la Coruña for the second leg of the tournament where he got to play another eighteen matches and scored five goals. He was chosen as the best LaLiga Smartbank player in January.
The forward will return to play for the pepineros and will wear the number 9 which he used before.
