The first month of 2022 was full of smiles for the C.D. Leganés cantera. Each of the squads started the new year in high spirits, with C.D. Leganés 'B' in a play-off spot and 2nd-place Juvenil 'A's invincible home run.
C.D. Leganés 'B's 28 points under coach Carlos Martínez saw them maintain their play-off position until the end of January. The second team's single victory and two draws keep them in 5th place of Group 1 of Segunda RFEF.
Juvenil 'A', managed by Sergio Solís, started the new year in even finer form than seen in their last games of 2021; they have qualified for the Copa del Rey Juvenil and occupy 2nd in Group 5 of División de Honor. The pepineros remain unbeaten at the I.D. Butarque, with two fresh wins over Rayo Vallecano and C.D. Badajoz to boot. The team prepares to face Real Madrid with 43 points in their chest, 5 off the leaders.
Juvenil 'B', overseen by Raúl Huertas, continue in 12th position of Group 12 of Nacional with 21 puntos, while Diego Muriarte's Juvenil 'C' now count 28 points as they climb to 7th in Group 2 of Primera División Autonómica.
Alevín 'B' and Benjamín 'A', unbeaten league leaders
Cadete 'A', Álvaro Herradón's squad, count two January victories, which steadies them in 8th place in Superliga with 18 points. Manolo Rueda's Cadete 'B' collected 9 out of a possible 9 from their January fixtures, lifting their tally to 28 points and keeping them in 5th place in Group 2 of División de Honor, just one off 2nd.
Infantil 'A' under Kiko took a win and a draw in their three opening calendar year matches, placing them as 9th in Superliga with 16 points. Infantil 'B's José Luis Martín also guided them to the same results as they defended their position of 5th place in Group 2 of División de Honor with 25 points.
Alevín 'A' under Adrián Cascos guard their 3rd place spot with 36 hard-won points, only two off the top, with two more wins to their campaign in Group 2 of División de Honor. Alevín 'B's 7-a-side squad under Nacho remain undefeated in División de Honor. The pepineros lead the pack with 34 points, from 11 wins and a single draw.
Benjamín 'A', coached by Alberto Acedo, also saw out the month in the first place of Group 8 of Primera División Autonómica by only dropping points in one game out of a 33 possible count, having acheived 10 victories and a single draw. Benjamín 'B's Gerardo has protected them in 6th with 19 points.
