C.D. Leganés' coach, Borja Jiménez, appeared at a press conference after the match (0-1) against F.C. Barcelona at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, corresponding to the thirty-first matchday of LALIGA EA SPORTS.
Despite the result, the Pepinero coach was satisfied with his team's performance: "Yes, I said it before, I think we were better than Barça. We had more chances to score and we deserved, at least, to score. Today the team showed once again that it competes well against the big teams, as we did at the Bernabéu and against Celta".
Despite the defeat, Borja explained that: "Nothing is wrong. There are seven games left. If we win all seven, we will be saved. See if I'm optimistic. I think it's going to be a three-way league between us, Alavés and Las Palmas. The rest have caught a lot of air. But I have confidence in this group, because last year, when everything seemed worse, was when the team took a step forward. And that's how we expect it to be".
On the feelings in the changing room, he was clear: "Rabies? Yes, of course. But also reinforcement. The sensations left by today's match are good. Now it's time to be very close to the players. We are calm in that sense. They and the coaching staff are the most upset. But we are convinced that we are going to pull through".
Regarding the refereeing decisions, he was categorical: "I am not going to talk about refereeing. The club has already expressed its opinion and I am fully committed to the club".
Finally, he valued the team's offensive effort: "Today we generated many chances against a team that conceded very little. We didn't manage to score, but we have to continue in this line. We have to take this level to the end. We are making merits to be saved and we are convinced that we will achieve it".
