Borja Jiménez: ‘We leave with the feeling that we had the merit to score more goals, but we weren't accurate in that respect’

The coach of C.D. Leganés appeared at a press conference after the match between the pepineros and R.C. Celta.

C.D. Leganés coach Borja Jiménez held a press conference this Saturday after the match between the pepineros and R.C. Celta at the Estadio Abanca Balaídos, corresponding to the 27th matchday of LALIGA EA SPORTS, and which ended in a 2-1 defeat.

The coach says that they leave ‘with the feeling that, offensively, it was one of our best games. We won the back line on many occasions, we deserved to score more than one goal, but today we weren't accurate in that area. You leave with the bitter feeling of doing a lot of things well, but not winning’.

For Borja, it's normal that this season the team hasn't achieved many victories away from Butarque: ‘We've won six games, the teams at the bottom always win very little. We know that, that's why the points are very positive. We did well, but we didn't manage to do it, so we leave hurting inside. Celta were pretty faithful to what they usually do. We were almost better than in the home game, but we were more accurate there. We played at a good level, we have the general feeling that we deserved more’.

On the referee's performance, the player from Avila didn't want to assess it: ‘I'm talking about the referees. They may have been more or less correct, but it's not worth it. They are a group that I appreciate, they try to do their job as well as possible and we have to understand them. They have a lot at stake and we have to continue along those lines’.

Finally, on the position of Tapia, he commented that ‘we already did it in the first leg, Tapia as a third centre-back allows you to defend much longer spaces than another centre-back. Aspas is Celta's best player and we have to keep an eye on him’.
