C.D. Leganés completes the refurbishment of the stands at the Estadio Municipal Butarque with new seats at the side and at the back of the stadium. In this way, the stadium's seats have been renovated and replaced with completely new ones.
Some of these seats were already available for the last match against Sevilla F.C., but most of them will be used for the first time in the next match against Real Madrid (Sunday 24 November, 18:30). Thus, with the modifications made last summer, plus those that have now been made, Butarque's new capacity has been increased to 13,089 seats, while the club continues to explore further ways of increasing the stadium's capacity.
These new improvements join the refurbishments already carried out over the summer, including the replacement of seats and the installation of step railings in the stand area, the creation of a new hospitality area in the stands and an immersive experience room in the tunnel, the creation of a new press area, the general refurbishment of all the toilets, the enlargement of the presidential box, etc.
In parallel, the club continues to explore ways to expand the capacity of the stadium beyond the slight increase in capacity generated by these actions. On the other hand, in the next few weeks, the new member service and ticket sales office will also be available, which is located in the area of the old shop with entrance through doors 1-2, and which will free up the current shop to be dedicated exclusively to the commercialisation of kits and merchandising.
