C.D. Leganés and Cádiz C.F. reached an agreement on Friday for the season-long loan of 25-year-old left-back Javi Hernández. The defender will play on loan during the 2023/24 season in the Andalusian team after extending his contract until 2026.
The Jerez de la Frontera native also played last season on loan at Girona F.C., making 26 official appearances for the Catalan team in LaLiga Santander. Javi Hernández has now extended his contract with Leganés until 30 June 2026, and will play on loan at Cádiz in the season that starts on 11 August. The agreement includes a purchase option at the end of this season.
