C.D. Leganés already knows who will be its twenty-one rivals in the new LaLiga SmartBank 2023/24 season. After the end of the playoff for promotion to the silver category, the twenty-two teams that will make up the Second Division in the season that will kick off on August 11 have already been defined.
The novelties with respect to last season will be, on the one hand, the presence of Real Valladolid, R.C.D. Espanyol and Elche C.F., who drop from LaLiga Santander and will occupy the places left by Granada C.F., U.D. Las Palmas and Deportivo Alavés, who return to the top flight.
On the other hand, the relegations of Málaga C.F., S.D. Ponferradina, U.D. Ibiza and C.D. Lugo to the First Federation will be covered by S.D. Amorebieta, Racing de Ferrol, A.D. Alcorcón and C.D. Eldense, teams that have managed to return to LaLiga SmartBank, the first two with direct promotion and the last two after the playoff.
This Wednesday, June 28, the season schedule will be announced, which will begin on August 11 with the first matchday.
