C.D. Leganés will close its 2021 preseason by hosting Rayo Vallecano at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, where the 41st edition of the Villa de Leganés Trophy will be held. The pepineros will be looking for the Pepino de Oro before kicking off LaLiga Smarbank on June 14.
The match will be played on August 7 at a time to be determined. The attendance of fans will be confirmed at a later date depending on the security measures in relation to Covid-19 in force at that time.
The Villa de Leganés Trophy has been an unmissable event at Butarque since it was first played in 1980, suspended only due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. C.D. Leganés, the most successful team in this tournament with 20 victories, will go for number 21 this year against Rayo Vallecano.
