C.D. Leganés agrees with Real Sociedad the transfer of Sydney Osazuwa

The player from the Pepinera youth academy leaves the Blue and Whites' discipline.

C.D. Leganés and Real Sociedad have agreed the transfer of 17-year-old Sydney Ehizogie Osazuwa. The Blue and Whites' academy player and U-17 international with Spain will leave the pepinera discipline to continue his career with the Guipuzcoan team.

Sydney arrived at Leganés in the summer of 2023 from the youth ranks of Granada C.F. His good performances with the Juvenil División de Honor led him to be promoted to Leganés 'B', playing eleven matches in which he scored a goal in the Tercera RFEF with the Pepeñera reserve team. With the Juvenil 'A', Sydney played more than 1800 minutes, being a key player in Manolo Rueda's team, achieving third place in the league in Group 5 of the División de Honor and reaching the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey, scoring 9 goals.

The young striker made his debut with the first team in LaLiga Hypermotion on matchday 24 against Real Oviedo, becoming the second youngest debutant in the history of C.D. Leganés in professional football, only behind Samuel Eto'o.

The club wishes him the best of luck in this new stage.
