C.D. Leganés signs young talent, Roberto López

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder signs for the next four seasons from Real Sociedad.

C.D. Leganés and Real Sociedad reached an agreement for the transfer of 24-year-old midfielder Roberto López Alcaide from Aragón to the club. The young player, an U-21 international with experience in the First Division, signs for the next four seasons.

Born in Zaragoza, Roberto López is an attacking midfielder, left-footed, with a great ball skills and who can play both as a playmaker and as a right-sided midfielder. Trained from cadets at Real Sociedad, he came to the reserve team in the 2018/19 season, the same season in which he debuted with the first team in the First Division in a match against Espanyol in January 2019.

His good performances at Sanse in the following season made him part of the dynamic of the first team in the return after the pandemic, settling already in 2020/21, playing twenty official matches between League, Copa del Rey and Europa League, and scoring three goals. Also in that year he became a Spanish U-21 international.
