C.D. Leganés will participate in the LXXIX Edition of the Teresa Herrera Trophy.

It will be played at the Abanca-Riazor Stadium on August 9 and 10 against Deportivo, Real Oviedo and Unionistas.

C.D. Leganés will take part in the LXXIX Edition of the Teresa Herrera Trophy, which will be played on August 9 and 10 at the Abanca-Riazor Stadium in A Coruña. It will be the first time that the Puebla-based club will take part in one of the most prestigious trophies in Spanish soccer.

The Blue and Whites will travel to the capital of A Coruña the weekend before the league kick-off against C.A. Osasuna, scheduled for the weekend of August 17-18. In their return to LALIGA EA SPORTS, Borja Jiménez's team will face R.C. Deportivo de La Coruña, recently promoted to LALIGA HYPERMOTION, Real Oviedo and Unionistas de Salamanca C.F.

The tournament will be played in a quadrangular format, with two semi-finals to be determined on Friday, August 9, and the match for third and fourth place and the grand final scheduled for Saturday, August 10.

The Teresa Herrera Trophy is the dean of the summer trophies held in national territory, and has been played uninterruptedly since 1946. Deportivo leads the list of winners with twenty-five trophies, followed by Real Madrid, with nine, and Atlético de Madrid, with six.
