C.D. Leganés completes its right-back line-up with the arrival of Adrià Altimira

The 23-year-old Catalan player arrives on loan from Villarreal C.F. for this season.

C.D. Leganés and Villarreal C.F. agreed on Wednesday to sign 23-year-old right-back Adrià Altimira Reynaldos on a season-long loan. The young winger will play on loan at Butarque for the 2024/25 campaign.

Altimira came up through the youth ranks at F.C. Barcelona, starting out as a youngster and progressing through to the Juvenil ‘A’ team, with whom he made his debut in the UEFA Youth League. In the 2020/21 season he signed for NK Lokomotiva in the Croatian First Division, and in the same season he returned to Spain to join U.D. Melilla.

In 2021 he signed for F.C. Andorra, achieving promotion to LALIGA HYPERMOTION in his first season as a tricolour, in which he would play a total of thirty games. In his debut in the silver category, he was an essential player in the Principality, playing up to thirty-seven games and becoming one of the best full-backs in the Second Division.

Experience in the First Division and in European competitions

His outstanding performances earned him his signing in 2023 by Villarreal C.F. With the yellows he alternated performances with the reserve team and the first team throughout last season, making his debut in LALIGA EA SPORTS in October in a match against Deportivo Alavés and also playing in several UEFA Europa League matches. He made a total of forty-five official appearances in the entire 2023/24 season.

A quick, attacking and technically gifted full-back, Altimira, who can also play in more advanced positions, will join Borja Jiménez's training sessions this Thursday. He will wear the number 2 shirt and his presentation will take place this Thursday at 12:00.
