Wednesday's game saw the debut of the two latest signings, Sébastien Haller and Matija Nastasic, who started in Borja Jiménez's starting eleven, as did Marko Dmitrovic, who also played his first minutes of the season. Haller himself scored the first goal of the game in minute 3 when he finished off a good move between Brasanac and Munir, who assisted the Ivorian to make it 0-1. In the 6th minute, Munir himself scored, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
Munir was again the protagonist in the 0-2, which came in the 23rd minute, when he assisted from the left to Brasanac, who came from the second line to beat Bloch and extend the advantage. The third almost came in the 43rd minute from Munir himself, who finished off a great move by Haller, but Bloch saved his left-footed shot from low down. With the score 0-2 in favour of Leganés, Leganés reached half-time.
Chicco made it 0-3 in the second half.
The second half started at a slower pace, also marked by the multiple changes in both teams, in the case of Fuenlabrada at half-time, and in the case of Leganés, once the second half had begun. The Pepineros scored the third in the 66th minute through Chicco, who headed home Roberto López's cross from a corner. Miguel, Raba and Juan Cruz almost widened the gap in the final period, but the scoreboard was not moved again and Leganés finally won the Fiestas de Fuenlabrada 2024 Trophy.
