Leganes celebrates promotion in a crowded Plaza de España

Thousands of pepineros vibrated with the arrival of the team to the fountain after the promotion in the stadium.

Leganés took the streets this Sunday at the end of the match that C.D. Leganés played against Elche C.F. in Butarque, which ended with a 2-0 victory allowing the team to return to the First Division, four seasons later.

After the celebration on the pitch and inside the stadium by the players, coaching staff and staff, they all boarded a convertible bus to travel the route that connects Butarque with the center of Leganés and more specifically with the Plaza de España, where thousands of neighbors of our city were waiting for their heroes.

There, the players and coaches who have managed to return the club to the top flight celebrated with the fans a historic milestone, with an emotional communion that lasted for more than an hour. The captain, Sergio González, was in charge of hanging the Blue and Whites' scarf on the Plaza de España fountain to show that Lega is once again in the First Division.
