C.D. Leganés achieved a very important victory against Real Sporting (2-1) at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, in a match corresponding to the fortieth matchday of LALIGA HYPERMOTION. Miguel de la Fuente, in the first half, and Cissé, in the second half, scored the goals for the victory.
Leganés started with three changes compared to the last match in Albacete: Julián Chicco, Naïs Djouahra and Miguel de la Fuente came in place of Aritz Arambarri, Dani Raba and Diego García, who were waiting for their turn on the bench. The duel began with a packed Butarque and the first incident in the ranks of Sporting, who in 7' had to make their first change due to the injury of Nacho Méndez, entering in his place Rivera.
Miguel de la Fuente gave Lega the lead in the first half.
Djouahra and Franquesa were the protagonists of the first dangerous approaches for the Blue and Whites, while in minute 17 the warning was to be transformed into the 1-0: Franquesa's play on the left, a cross to the far post that Miramón touched and Miguel, with a header, took it to the back of the net to make it 1-0 with his eleventh goal of the season. Lega continued to insist in search of the second, with a good chance for Djouahra after a great individual action that Yáñez repelled.
Sporting responded with a counterattack by Hassan that went close to Diego Conde's left post. The keeper then intervened to prevent the equalizer in a set piece that ended in a goal disallowed for offside. There was still time for Lega to claim a sending-off for Izquierdoz when he was facing goal, but neither Orellana Cid nor the VAR considered the contact to be sufficient. With the score 1-0 in favor of Lega, it was time for halftime.
Guille Rosas equalized at the start of the second half.
The second half started without changes, with Sporting equalizing the match in 52' thanks to an individual action by Guille Rosas, who cut back from the edge of the area and crossed it impossible for Diego Conde. Borja Jiménez made his first substitution in 58', bringing on Diego García in place of Djouahra in search of a greater offensive presence. Diego himself had a chance in minute 62 after a pass from Miguel, but his forced shot didn't find the target.
Another one for Chicco in 66' went narrowly wide after a good collective action, in a Butarque where the 11,300 people who attended the match were pressing in search of the second. Immediately after, Cissé came on for Juan Cruz in the second change of the pepineros. Franquesa's great play in 71' was miraculously saved by Yáñez to avoid a 2-1 that Sergio and Neyou had again in the next action that the visiting defense saved.
Cissé brought madness to Butarque with his goal in minute 77 to give Lega the victory.
A goal that was to end up coming as a result of the Pepinera insistence: in 77', Miguel gave to Portillo, who opened to the right flank, where Seydouba Cissé appeared to connect a shot that was poisoned after touching Cote and finally beat the Gijón resistance to bring madness to Butarque and make it 2-1 with his first goal of the season, and at what a time. In the last ten minutes, Borja Jiménez brought on Nyom, Luis Perea and Brasanac in place of Chicco, Neyou and Miguel, to defend the valuable advantage.
Lega defended their advantage with everything they had and the madness came at the final whistle, confirming three very valuable points for a team that is now 70 in the table and will remain one more day in the direct promotion zone. Their next match will take place next Sunday (18:30) at A Malata against Racing de Ferrol.
