C.D. Leganés presents its new second kit for the 2024/25 season by Joma, its official technical sponsor. A shirt that takes us back to ten years ago, on June 22, 2014, when the pepinero club got promoted to the Second Division thanks to a Carlos Álvarez's goal in L'Hospitalet.
The shirt features a practically identical design to the one from that 2013/14 season, with a pepinero green color with which the club managed to return to professional soccer after a decade in Segunda División 'B'. And it did so after a playoff that culminated with a visit to La Feixa Llarga and a Chilean goal that changed the history of Leganés. Precisely the image of that iconic strike by the Asturian striker Carlos Álvarez occupies the dark green stripe on the chest.
The jersey features the embroidered crest and also the image of the Chilean and the inscription "X Aniversario, 22-06-2014" in white on the lower right side of the front, and also presents darker green tones with details on the round neck and sleeves with rib trim and on the side of the shirt. To present it, the club brought Carlos Álvarez back to the La Feixa Llarga stadium in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat ten years to the day of the promotion-winning Chilean. The Asturian returned for the first time to the scene of his happiest moment as a footballer thanks also to the collaboration and predisposition of C.E. L'Hospitalet.
An ecological t-shirt that fights for a sustainable future and with the most advanced technologies on the market.
The club and Joma continue to reaffirm their commitment to sustainability with the manufacture of the second kit from 100% recycled polyester in sustainable production processes. Most of the kits manufactured by the brand already use this fabric. It is made from recycled sources, especially PET bottles, which are converted into raw material. This reduces CO2 emissions by 75%, avoids the use of petroleum and reduces plastic pollution of the planet. This allows the product to be labeled ECO.
The equipment is made up of the most advanced technological innovations on the market, the result of Joma's large investment in R&D&i. For this reason, the brand is a pioneer in offering the best quality to athletes and in ensuring that all the products that will be on sale to fans follow the same quality standards: they feature MICRO-MESH SYSTEM technology, located in the areas of greatest perspiration (the sides), which helps to promote proper ventilation of sweat; and, in addition, each piece of fabric has been joined using the FLATLOCK flat seam system, which prevents the appearance of possible chafing on the skin and increases comfort in the game.
The second-team jersey can already be purchased from this Saturday in our online store, and from Monday, June 24 at the Legastore at the Estadio Municipal Butarque, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 20:00. In addition, by scanning the shirt, fans will be able to find, in augmented reality, a personalized message from Carlos Álvarez and a souvenir for history.
