C.D. Leganés earned a point in their visit to Racing de Ferrol (2-2). Miguel de la Fuente and Juan Cruz scored for the pepineros, but two penalties, one at the end of each half, allowed the Galicians to level the score. Lega will depend on themselves on the last matchday to achieve their dream at home.
Leganés came out with three changes in their lineup compared to the last victory against Real Sporting, with Cissé, Brasanac and Diego García replacing the suspended Chicco, Juan Cruz and Djouahra. The match started with the locals trying to take the initiative against a well-positioned Leganés in the first ten minutes. In minute 11, the first great chance of the match arrived: Miramón's cross from the right and Miguel's header that went just wide.
Miguel gave Leganés the lead, and Álvaro Giménez, after a very dubious penalty, equalized for Racing de Ferrol on the stroke of half-time.
In the 16th minute, the 0-1 came: Sergio González's deep ball to Darko Brasanac, who put the ball inside the area and Miguel de la Fuente, first time, beat Cantero to make the 0-1 with his twelfth goal of the season to the joy of the more than six hundred pepineros who came to A Malata. Racing de Ferrol tried to react against a Lega that again had a good arrival in 33' with a Franquesa's run that neither Miguel nor Diego could finish.
The locals would get the equalizer on the stroke of halftime, in an action in which Fuentes Molina signaled a penalty for a very dubious Sergio González's hands inside the area, which Álvaro Giménez converted to score the equalizer. With 1-1 on the scoreboard, the game went to the break.
Juan Cruz scored the 1-2, but another penalty, already in added time, returned the tie to the scoreboard.
The second half started without changes, with the locals going forward in search of the second goal against a Leganés team that also tried to reach the opponent's goal. In 64', Borja Jiménez made his first change, bringing on Juan Cruz in place of Diego García, looking to shake up the Blue and Whites' attack. Racing had a chance with a long-range shot that crashed against the crossbar of Diego Conde's goal, before, in minute 74, Borja Jiménez made his second change, bringing on Undabarrena and Raba for Brasanac and Portillo.
In minute 80, Lega would make it 1-2: Juan Cruz's personal move, who crossed into the area to send the Pepinera fans into a frenzy. However, there was still time for Fuentes Molina to signal a new penalty in favor of Racing de Ferrol, this time for a struggle by Nyom, which was considered sufficient to signal the eleven meters. Manu Justo converted it to make the final score 2-2, leaving Leganés with 71 points in the table.
The pepineros will face the last matchday depending on themselves to achieve direct promotion in the duel that they will play on Sunday (18:30) against Elche C.F. in Butarque.
