C.D. Leganés incorporates Cristina Pizarro as the new women's football coordinator for the 2024/25 season. With more than two decades of experience as a professional player and also as a coach, she now joins the club's women's section.
Cristina, 34, from Madrid, known as "Chini", has been a professional player from 2003 until last June, playing for clubs such as Atlético de Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, Sant Gabriel, Real Sociedad, EDF Logroño, Sporting de Huelva, Espanyol and Getafe Femenino. Her track record includes two league titles and one in the Copa de la Reina, won with the Rayistas and the Txuri-urdines.
"I'm very excited to be here and I hope to contribute to the club's objectives".
In addition to her extensive career on the pitch, Cristina has extensive training in areas such as sports methodology and high performance. She has also directed the Cedillo del Condado Football Technification School since 2023, where she has also worked as a coach.
Now, Cristina begins a new stage as coordinator of women's football in our club, with the aim of improving the day to day life of our players and our coaches: "I am very excited and I hope to contribute to the objectives of the club. With hard work, passion and enthusiasm I am convinced that we will achieve them and we will try to take the club's women's football as high as possible".
