C.D. Leganés, recognised for its social commitment in the CONTIGO AWARDS

They were awarded by La Roda Town Council, in particular for the campaign ‘Rare diseases, unique people’.

C.D. Leganés has been recognised for its social work in the CONTIGO AWARDS given by La Roda Town Council, especially for the ‘Rare diseases, unique people’ campaign that the club carried out last season in collaboration with FEDER.

C.D. Leganés and its Foundation have been committed to social and specific problems in their environment for many years and have been raising awareness and visibility in many areas. Visits to schools in the city to promote healthy habits, blood donation marathon with the Severo Ochoa Hospital, continuous collaboration with Civil Protection, the promotion of sport with people with other abilities such as its Genuine team or the wheelchair team, or awareness campaigns, such as the mental illness campaign with the Manantial Foundation or the one awarded in this case, the Rare Diseases campaign.

In this case, the CONTIGO AWARDS recognise diversity and social work in all areas. The gala, held on Friday 29th November, seeks to focus on examples that demonstrate that it is possible to work towards a more humane, committed and caring society as a basis for progress towards a better country.

It was the club's institutional representative, Martín Mantovani, who accepted the award presented by the mayor of La Roda, Juan Ramón Amores. Juan Ramón Amores, who thanked the mayor himself and the city of La Roda for the recognition.
