C.D. Leganés reinforces its attack with the arrival of Duk

The Cabo Verde international signs until 2027 from Aberdeen in Scotland.

C.D. Leganés and Aberdeen F.C. reached an agreement on Monday for the transfer of the 24 year old Cape Verde international striker Luís Henrique Barros Lopes, “Duk”. The Portuguese-born player, who has experience in European competitions, reinforces the club for the remainder of the season and two more.

Trained in Benfica's youth ranks, he signed for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen in the summer of 2022, making a big impact in his first season on the islands, scoring a total of eighteen goals and dishing out six assists. His strong performances boosted his team, which managed to qualify for European competitions and participated in the UEFA Conference League last season, in which Duk scored three goals.

This season, the new Blue and Whites' player has played 21 official matches for Aberdeen, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Duk, who was a youth international with Portugal, is a full international with Cape Verde. His arrival will take place this week, while the administrative formalities for his registration will be completed.

Welcome to the Pepinera family!
