C.D. Leganés and Borja Jiménez, awarded at RFFM Annual Gala
The Teatro Auditorio de Alcobendas was the setting for the Real Federación de Fútbol de Madrid (RFFM) Annual Gala, presided over by Paco Díez, where the most outstanding achievements in the Madrid football scene were recognised.
The Teatro Auditorio de Alcobendas was the setting for the Real Federación de Fútbol de Madrid (RFFM) Annual Gala, presided over by Paco Díez, where the most outstanding achievements in Madrid football were recognised. C.D. Leganés were one of the stars of the event, receiving two awards in recognition of their historic 2023/2024 season.
The club received the Award for Sporting Merit for its promotion to the First Division. This award was collected by Eduardo Cosín, vice-president of C.D. Leganés, on behalf of the club.
For his part, Borja Jiménez, the team's coach, was distinguished with the Golden Boot Award for Coaches, in recognition of his work at the helm of the Pepinero team, which culminated in promotion to the top flight.
The gala was also attended by Martín Ortega, the club's general manager, Iván Maroto, business director, and Jorge Broto, director of grassroots football, who represented C.D. Leganés at an event that highlighted the values and effort that led the club to reach this important achievement.
