Kumel Al Rekabe, selected by Iraq's senior national team for the Arabian Gulf Cup 

C.D. Leganés is proud to announce that Kumel Al Rekabe, goalkeeper of the club's International Academy, has been selected by the Iraq senior national team to play in the Arabian Gulf Cup 2024, one of the most prestigious competitions in the region.

Since his arrival at our International Academy this season, Kumel has distinguished himself for his talent between the sticks and his dedication in every training session, becoming a key player in the team. His participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where he demonstrated his quality and international projection, was a determining factor for him to later join C.D. Leganés, joining our training project.   

This selection is a recognition of the high level that Kumel has shown in recent months, and we are sure that he will represent his country with honour and dedication, also carrying with him the values of our club.
